If you are use to using a weed control agent on your lawn in the spring it is now time to think again.  The Ontario government has passes a ban on over 250 chemicals once available to the homeowner in the province of Ontario. 

This will of course change the way many of us treat our lawn this spring.  You will no longer be able to get a “weed and feed” type product with a chemical in it.  You may be able to get these products until April 22^nd when the ban comes into effect, but you can be assured that the large chains will not be ordering new stock.  For complete details on the ban you can read them on the government of Ontario’s website.
